Mere language...

...is a Cayenne a companion piece to a 911? My friend had multiple 'heavy hitter' Langes and they still asked him to buy pieces he clearly did not want just to get a 'chance' to buy what he did want. Hence his disillusion and divesting himself of many of

5096P requires a large wrist.

It looks bad on mine. Hopefully Cayenne will resume posting here someday! Best, Emmanuel

I suppose they are…

The local dentist where we used to live also desperately wanted a 911. He drove a Cayenne as a daily and was incredibly eager for a 911 on top. Then he made some test drives and was horrified and didn’t like the experience at all. He finally still bought

Remember an experience from far far away…

Where I traversed a stretch of gravel with a Porsche Cayenne. Nothing too dramatic but the car felt like it was going to shake itself to pieces at anything above 60 km/h. Mechanical sympathy would not allow you to go faster. The next year I was picked up

You are making some very valid points...

There is an important aspect to consider. For most of its existence Porsche has been a fairly marginal business proposition, often on the brink of viability. At the same time for a long time the volumes they produced were feasible as the complexity of the

It’s a complicated situation…

On the one hand the just add lightness mantra of Lotus of old would never work in selling enough cars to have the brand remain a going concern. On the other, the new electric line has not taken off at the rate wished for. Still, probably more of those sol

Don’t underestimate the Patrol 🦾

I had a very interesting experience with one some years ago. Was picked up by the driver of a customer in a Patrol and he insisted on driving on the island instead of taking the smoother route over the ice. I was less than enthusiastic having done the isl

As an individual who used to drive a 997.1-generation 911 GT3 on racetracks, I can tell you that their lack of a double wishbone is a major detriment...

You're not wrong. I was once in your shoes and I could not understand how a famous brand like Porsche could be inferior - I was in denial. And to your point... As a road car, it's inferior for the price they charge and compared to its competitive segment.
